RTA Guide/Whomp's Fortress

Whomp's Fortress is the second course in the game. 1 star is needed to access it without a lobby BLJ.

Route

1. Blast Away the Wall
2. Fall onto the Caged Island
3. Red Coins on the Floating Isle + 100 Coins
4. Shoot into the Wild Blue
5. Chip Off Whomp's Block
6. To the Top of the Fortress

Tips

• If collecting every star, make sure to do Chip Off Whomp's Block second to last and To the Top of the Fortress last. This will minimize the lag experienced from the fortress and also prevent the owl in the tree from getting in your way
• If you aren't doing Owlless, then do the same order but with Fall onto the Caged Island last. This will minimize lag from the tower but still make the owl available to use.

Star Select Info

Act 1 - Whomp King

In the first act, the King Whomp is spawned on the top platform, and the cannon Bob-omb and Fortress are not spawned.

Requirements

• None, however if you've already collected Chip Off Whomp's Block, you can replay this act by selecting Star 1

Act 2 - Fortress

In the 2nd act, the Fortress will spawn on the top platform.

Requirements

• Collect Chip Off Whomp's Block and
• Select Star 2-6

Act 3 - Owl and Cannon

In the third act, the Owl will spawn in the tree near the star and the Cannon Bob-omb will spawn towards Shoot into the Wild Blue.

Requirements

• Collect To the Top of the Fortress and
• Select Stars 3-6
