A-Maze-ing Emergency Exit is the fifth mission of Hazy Maze Cave.
Intermediate
Left Side (Triple Jump Wallkick)
This strat has the advantage of needing to hold only up until after the triple jump. To set this up, the camera must be in the middle of turning (resulting from a C-right press just before the door) at the point the door is opened.
Right Side
This strat is optimally faster but tends to be slower and less consistent in practice because it's substantially less scripted than left side.
Hold A and up-right on the stick during the door animation to set up the angle for the double jump wallkick to the platform.
Expert
Known as the "singlestar strat" on the Ultimate Star (Xcam) sheet.
If Mario slides forward instead of rolling out, you were too far forward and must jump lower and delay your dive more.
