Bob-omb Buddies are pink Bob-omb NPCs who open cannons for Mario.
Locations
Bob-omb Buddies appear in levels with cannons. These levels are:
- Bob-omb Battlefield
- Whomp's Fortress
- Jolly Roger Bay
- Cool, Cool Mountain
- Shifting Sand Land
- Snowman's Land
- Wet-Dry World
- Tall, Tall Mountain
- Tiny-Huge Island
- Rainbow Ride
- Wing Mario over the Rainbow
Behavior
Unlike regular Bob-ombs, Bob-omb Buddies walk in place. If Mario is within 1000 units of one, it turns to face him. Some Bob-omb Buddies will open the cannons in the level if they are not already opened. The status of the cannons will be saved the next time the game is saved.
