The Piranha Plant is an enemy in Super Mario 64[2], found exclusively in Whomp's Fortress.
Description
The Piranha Plant is a green and red plant with sharp teeth. When Mario approaches it, it will wake up and deal damage if it is touched. If Mario steps away, it will fall to sleep and become vulnerable to attacks. The Piranha Plant drops a Blue Coin upon death.
