Description
Elevators appear in a variety of levels, those being:
- Bob-omb Battlefield
- Whomp's Fortress

For the most part, elevators will rise up or down at a constant speed of 10 units when Mario stands on them. An exception to this is the ski lift in Cool, Cool Mountain. Horizontally, it accelerates to 10 UPF. Vertically, it accelerates to ~3.9 UPF, before snapping to ~4.7 UPF, then to ~5.9 UPF, and finally to ~6.4 UPF. On its way down, it goes through the same steps, just negative.
Trivia
- Due to their slow rising, elevators are great for performing BLJ's, specifically Elevator BLJ's, this being the only BLJ method that can reach Parallel Universes.
- Because of their nature, fixed track elevators are especially prone to Invisiwalls.
