Mario must sideflip onto the third platform from the bottom. It is vital that you hold A for the rest of the course. Carefully ascend the rest of the steps on the tower; this is best done by ledge grabbing. Once at the very top of the tower, while still holding A, jump kick onto the edge of the tower's top. Then, kick into the star.
