Talk:Hangable ceiling upwarp

This shouldn't be deleted. There are many ways to gain a large vertical displacement on a single frame, such as swimming into a steep floor, and even if there are only 2 they are unrelated and so should be separated MMMMMMMMMMMMM (talk) 16:36, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

those aren't upwarps lmao Nim (talk) 17:42, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
baited lol but my point still stands, these glitches are unrelated so they should be separated. MMMMMMMMMMMMM (talk) 17:52, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
no baiting on ukikipedia tf, also they aren't unrelated since they're both upwarps lmao Nim (talk) 18:00, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
So bob-omb clips and quantum tunneling should be on the same page since they both send you through a wall. MMMMMMMMMMMMM (talk) 18:02, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
Except there are quite a few ways to go through walls, and going through a wall is not as notable as upwarps, and those 2 glitches work vastly differently. with upwarps, it's always mario touching (water)/(a ceiling with a hangable ceiling above) from the side, which makes him be warped to (the top of the water)/(the hangable ceiling).
That’s just an arbitrary connection. Obviously upwarps involve touching something below and warping to the top, that’s the point. These two glitches are separately notable and should have separate pages. Would we ever say ‘We use an upwarp glitch?’ in a page? No, we’d name the specific glitch.MMMMMMMMMMMMM (talk) 18:18, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
But you see, with bomb clips and QT there's enough info about them to put it in a page. Not really so for both types of upwarps (excluding examples). Nim (talk) 18:32, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
That’s true, but suppose the water upwarp and the TTC upwarp were never in the game at all. Would we just not make a page for this glitch since it doesn’t have enough information for a big page? I say we make a thorough page including technical details. It might be bigger than we think. If all else fails, we can migrate it.MMMMMMMMMMMMM (talk) 18:35, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
It's better to make one page with more content and details than many stubs. Nim (talk) 18:50, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, but a stub is an incomplete page, not just a short page. Pages can be short but complete. Take https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nancy_Birtwhistle for example. The topic is just notable enough to be on wikipedia but not very much information exists about it, yet this article is not marked as a stub. Also by 'baited' I meant 'yeah true, I was thinking of the ceiling downwarp' MMMMMMMMMMMMM (talk) 20:03, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
