As most of the terrain for this course is relatively flat, Mario can traverse the level with relative ease. Teleporters help avoid some of the more trickier parts, such as slide kicking off the bridge. When you defeat Big Bob-omb, the star will have to be reached by a simple DR.
Start by diving towards the Bob-ombs near the white slope. Get one to notice Mario and start running up the slope. The Bob-omb will push Mario up the slope. Scale the mountain and take the warp to save a bit of time and make things easier. Once Mario is at the top, activate King Bob-omb's text. Run behind him and throw him. Complete the fight as normal, and dive to collect the star.
