Individual levels

Individual Level (IL) runs are a single level Speedruns or Tool Assisted Speedrun that's goal is the completion for the single level within the game at a minimal time. That is, rather than the timed completion of a full game or game category, it is only required to complete a singular level.
IL runs are competitive in both speedrunning and Tool Assisted Speedrunning, and it can often differ from how the level is played in many or all categories of Speedruns or Tool Assisted Speedruns. An example of this is that several levels in SM64, depending on the run category, are completed by collecting the 100 coins star and one other star, due to the 100 coin star not causing a level exit. In BoB any%, this would be the red coins star and the 100 coins star. Due to this, there is an IL category for the red coins star.
