The 31 Star category is a very old category, it involves collecting 30 stars to open the 2nd bowser door and collecting the extra star in the course "Dire Dire Docks" called "Board Bowser's Sub" in order to get to "Bowser in the Fire Sea" because DDD is blocking the entrance to Fire Sea and we must collect that individual star in order to move it. You finish off by performing "Backwards Long Jumps" to get to the final bowser stage.
