Hyperspeed in Super Mario 64 is a term that refers to a large amount of speed, usually for Mario. It is commonly defined as more than 100 speed or less than -100 speed. Getting this amount of speed usually requires Glitches. Hyperspeed is often helpful in speedruns because it allows quicker movement, as well as the ability to clip through walls.
