Behind Camera Anywhere is a technique discovered by ds273[1] that allows Mario to position himself so that he is no longer visible to the camera.

Since the HOLP only updates when a held object is rendered, using the fact that the camera focus is a distance away from Mario, The camera can be faced away from Mario where he won't be rendered and so he can grab and throw a objects without updating the HOLP. This technique has been used as part of a method for the Bowser in the Sky pole skip.[2]
