Ultimate DDD Skip is the fastest way to skip Dire Dire Docks. It is not widely used in 0 star runs due to its "RNG" nature. It does this by building enough speed from the SBLJ to continue building speed to the '''right''' of the pillar. This is different from the traditional Setup DDD Skip where Mario builds speed on the '''left''' of the pillar.
<br>
Mario must build his speed to above 310 on the wall for Ultimate to work. This can be tricky to achieve since the wider his SBLJ angle is, the more Mario will naturally want to move to the right towards the door and clip through without the required speed. This can happen at very low speeds if the SBLJ angle is too "wide". The opposite can happen as well. If Mario's angle is too "narrow" he will not move to the right at all, making it hard to determine his true speed.
<br>
Once Mario has the required amount of speed, you can move Mario towards the door, along the bottom half of the door. If you move mario too far up, he will lose all his speed and you will clip through the door.
Now that Mario is in the hall he needs to do 1 more jump to build above 378 speed to clip through the portal. Once he has achieved this speed, you are able to clip through the portal.
<br>
Since '''Mario's positioning and speed need to perfectly align with the DDD Portal''', once you jump it is luck that decides if you clip or not.
