Using the strat from [[RTABC Guide/Go on a Ghost Hunt|the first star]], defeat four Boos and the Big Boo to activate the staircase. Ascend the staircase using VSC, and enter the far right room. With some luck, manipulate the flying books into positions that will allow you to side flip, bounce off both of them, and allow you to reach the third floor. Make sure to keep A held. Once that is completed, head to the outside of the house to fight another Big Boo. Defeat him, and use jump kicks (A still being held) to climb the slippery roof.
