After using the flowerbed teleporter and grabbing a Wing Cap, Mario must enter the cannon and launch from it, requiring A. Skilled players can get all 5 secrets easily, though less advanced players may have to practice this course before making an attempt. After grabbing all 5, Mario can head to the star near the Red Coin star spawner and simply grab it while still flying.
Pressing A to use the cannon is required in order to collect all the secrets. Most secrets missed on the first swoop down can still be collected by turning around, but the first one is too high for this, so it focusing on not missing it is important.

Method
Pressing A to use the cannon is required in order to collect all the secrets. Most secrets missed on the first swoop down can still be collected by turning around, but the first one is too high for this, so it focusing on not missing it is important.
